Who knew science could be so much fun?
The 2nd Annual Keweenaw Science and Engineering Festival has begun, featuring three days of hands-on activities based on science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Most of the events all families to participate with their children, like the Family Engineering Day put on by Michigan Center for Science and Environmental Outreach.
Assistant Director for Michigan Tech’s Center for Pre-College Outreach Amanda McConnon said, “It’s a great opportunity for them to learn together and for parents to be able to have a chance to explain to them how some things work and have fun while they’re doing it together as a family and it’s all free.”
Other events include the Great Lakes Research Center Water Festival today.
The Mindtrekkers Expo headlines a bunch of activities on the waterfront on Saturday.
