Environmental Issues Presentations At Portage Lake District Library

Seniors in the Michigan Tech School of Forest Resources and Environmental Science will present a series of six short presentations, each focused on the topic “Environmental Issues that Affect Us Globally and Locally.”

The Portage Lake District Library will host the seniors on Monday at 6:00pm.

Topics include diseases of trees and wildlife, debates about hunting top predators, cougar interactions, plastic in our lakes and oceans, invasive species, and wildlife hazards in airports.

There will be a question and answer session following the presentations.
