Twenty-four students are getting one last opportunity to attend summer camp and get a head start on their studies for the coming school year.
The Michigan Tech Center for Science & Environmental Outreach has been hosting an end of summer camp this week.
The theme is Earth science.
Students in grades 1-6 are investigating different types of minerals, rocks, fossils, and soils through hands on activities and outdoor exploration.
The class is being taught by Dr. Erica Vye, an expert in Geoheritage, and Lloyd Wescoat, an elementary educator.
