Michigan’s Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy are looking for proposals to support the creation of an Energy Storage Roadmap for Michigan.
Proposals of up to $200,000 in matching funding are being sought.
The winning applicant will cover multiple issues, including identifying opportunities, policy barriers and potential.
The winning application will also make recommendations on investment and policies, and identifying optimal locations for energy storage.
The road map will also help in achieving adaptable, affordable, reliable energy, which is environmentally sound.
Energy storage allows for the retention of energy produced from renewable energy sources, which can be added to electrical grids, when customer demand outweighs the output of the generating facility.
The deadline to submit your proposal is September 14th.
