Easter Events Planned for Kids

A couple of Easter events for children have been added to the Copper Country schedule.

The Calumet Theatre will host a “Hoppy Easter” on Saturday, April 9th, from noon until 4:00. That’s the weekend before Easter.

Activities will include an Easter egg hunt, arts and crafts, free Vollwerth’s hot dogs, and a visit from the Easter Bunny. The rabbit rescue group Hoppily Ever After will have some bunnies in the ballroom for kids to visit. There will be no admission charge.

On Saturday, April 16th – the day before Easter – the Village of Laurium will host an Easter egg hunt.

Kids and their families are invited to meet at the Laurium Village Hall ballroom at 3:00 to search for eggs, meet the Easter Bunny, and possibly win a prize. A special egg hunt area will be reserved for children ages four and younger. Children will be able to decorate bags to collect their eggs, but families are encouraged to bring a basket or container for each participant. There will be no charge.

We’ve added both events to our KeweenawReport.com Community Calendar.
