The downtown Houghton Farmer’s Market starts one week from today.
The season opener takes place Tuesday, June 20th from 3:00-6:00pm.
That’s a new time for the market but the location remains the same, down by the Houghton Waterfront next to the Portage Lake District Library.
The public is invited to shop for fresh, local produce and enjoy live music from Steve Jones and the Garden City Hot Club.
Children are invited to make their own Mr. Potato Head with potatoes, assorted veggies, and more in the Library’s community room. This activity is free to the public.
The City of Houghton will provide free shuttle service for residents from Arbor Green and The Bluffs.
A bus will begin shuttling residents at 2:45pm and return residents at 3:30pm.
