A Macomb County woman was killed Tuesday night in a snowmobile crash north of Newberry.
Luce County sheriff’s deputies say the 55-year-old Chesterfield woman was trying to cross M-123 when she pulled into the lane of a northbound vehicle that was not able to avoid her. The crash threw the woman into the southbound lane, where she was struck by a second vehicle.
She was pronounced dead at Helen Newberry Joy hospital.
Officials say neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be factors in the crash.
Her name is being withheld until family members are notified.
