A recent large donation has helped to pay for an upgrade of the mammography unit at Aspirus’ Houghton clinic.
The new state-of-the-art 3D mammography unit honors the memory of Mary Creske. Creske was a Wisconsin native, who began her career as a dental hygienist. She eventually earned a Doctorate in Public Health, Health Education, and spent much of her life advocating for advances in women’s health treatment.
Her daughter, Kate Creske, is a nurse at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Aspirus Radiologist Dr. Nathan McParlan said the upgrade enhances their ability to provide top-tier breast care to the community.
