Dollar Bay School District is continuing to provide meals to students, every Monday and even delivers meals to houses who can’t pick them up.
Their distance learning plan starts tomorrow.
Elementary students will receive a learning packet, and are encouraged to use the app Seesaw.
Families without internet access can submit the completed learning packet, when they pick the new one up on Monday.
Each class will also meet weekly using Google Meet.
Teachers can also connect individually if needed.
Students in grades 7 through 12 will receive instruction through Google Classroom, with learning packets available for households without internet access.
Live, weekly online class sessions are also part of the curriculum.
7th and 8th graders will meet at 10am, while highschoolers will meet at 11am.
Teachers are also available to reach out to students on an individual basis.
Dollar Bay School District is also providing free wifi through the “Dollar Bay Guest” wifi network to anyone who drives up and parks on Ojibwa Trail or Maple Drive.
If your internet connection is poor, you can drive to school and download assignments.
