The inspirational film, “Do It For Daniel”, will be showing tonight on the campus of Michigan Tech.
The film is hosted by the Houghton and Keweenaw Suicide Prevention Coalition with representatives from the RSVP Program, Dial Help, MTU Counseling Center, CLK Schools, Finlandia University, Copper County Mental Health and other concerned citizens.
Do It For Daniel tells the story of Daniel Olson, an Ishpeming High School graduate who lost his life to depression and suicide, and how the community and the Ishpeming High School football team rallied after his death to bring hope to the community and those who suffer from that illness.
The showing is at 6:30pm in Fisher Hall room 135. The cost to see the film is $5.
All proceeds go to developing the documentary and putting it in all schools in the country.
