The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is creating 10 new positions at the department for the Western Upper Peninsula.
Five will be based in Gogebic County, three in Ontonagon County and two in Baraga County.
The new positions will be charged with a variety of conservation functions across the Western U.P., including aiding with trail work, working on building and construction projects, operating equipment and performing preventative maintenance projects.
All 10 positions will be posted and filled under State of Michigan Civil Service hiring requirements.
