The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says there has been some confusion concerning certain deer hunting licenses.
DNR Conservation Officer Grant Emery says one involves the Mentored Youth License.
The Mentored Youth License is a package available to young hunters up to age 10.
Older hunters choose between a single deer license or a combination deer license.
Emery says the other point they want to get across to hunters is they cannot change their license once they’ve made their choice.
Successful hunters are encouraged to bring their deer to a DNR Check Station.
