Did Incorrect Reporting From The State Give The U.P. An Extra, Unwanted Case of COVID-19?

Did incorrect reporting from the state Covid-19 page give the U.P. an unnecessary and unwanted positive case of COVID-19?

That may be the case.

The Western Upper Peninsula Health Department, states that a person who was tested in southeastern Michigan, may have somehow wound up as a positive case, for Ontonagon County.

Kate Beer, of the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department said the state laboratory is working to determine the correct address of the person in question, and if need be, make sure their results go to the correct county.

Residents are still reminded to wash hands frequently,  stay home unless necessary, practice social distancing when out in public, and to disinfect high traffic areas of your home.

The Western Upper Peninsula Health Department continues to work closely with federal, state and local agencies to bring you the latest updates on the COVID-19 battle.
