Dial Help is known for their 24/7 UP wide crisis line, but they also offer a number of specialized services here in the Copper Country.
The Victim Services Department, serving Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw and Ontanagon Counties, offers help with child and elder abuse, fraud and sexual abuse, along with other crimes.
Virginia Lambert, Victim of Crime Act Coordinator, said “We want people to know that we’re here to offer support if they’re the victim of a crime.”
Options to help include emergency response to hospitals and police departments, emotional support with resource materials, counseling, and sexual assault exams.
They even offer training to prevent sexual violence.
