Dee Stadium Will Have COVID-19 Protocols And Gets A New Scoreboard

Ice is scheduled to be made at Dee Stadium the first week in October.

At last night’s city council meeting, City Manager Eric Waara said users will need to follow COVID-19 guidelines.

“We’re gonna have a basic safety plan that every renter has to follow, or Dee Stadium, according to practice.”

Organizations that use the rink may also have additional rules that members will need to follow.

The city is using some of its COVID-19 funding to purchase disinfecting towers, which use ultraviolet light to kill germs, including the novel coronavirus at the source of the current pandemic.

Towers will be placed in the Dee locker rooms, and installed at other critical city facilities.

The Dee also has a new scoreboard.

“It works great, looks great and we certainly thank Superior National for their generosity.”

The old scoreboard will be offered for sale.
