Deadline To Apply For $20,000 Competitive Art Scholarship At Finlandia Is May 4

Finlandia University is accepting applications for the $20,000 Dave and Elsa Brule Scholarship now through May 4. This is a competitive scholarship for incoming students interested in studying art and design in Finlandia’s International School of Art & Design (ISAD). Students can apply online at finlandia.edu/artscholarship.

The scholarship recipients will be determined based on a portfolio competition. Student-artists working in all media are invited to submit a portfolio of their original work for the competition, which will be held at Finlandia’s Portfolio Review Day at Finlandia’s campus on Saturday, May 5. Work will be evaluated based on composition, concept, range, craftsmanship and originality. All applicants are expected to attend this event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To compete in the Portfolio Review Day, prospective students must apply and be accepted to Finlandia University by May 4. Students must also have a grade point average of 2.5 or better, have an ACT score of 16 or better or SAT score of 880 or better, and have completed the 2018-19 FAFSA. This award is only for new students expected to start in the summer or fall of 2018.
