Culvert Work On M-26 Resumes May 6th

There will be a single lane closure with a temporary traffic signal on M-26 near Dollar Bay staring May 6th.

Contractors for the Michigan Department of Transportation will resume work on a culvert replacement project over a tributary of Gooseneck Creek.

MDOT is investing about $1.3 million to replace the structure, which was damaged during the severe flooding last June.

Last year, the culvert was installed; now, roadway reconstruction, paving, and guardrail work will be completed.

Work was suspended for the season in early December.

Work is expected to be completed by mid-June.
