Critical Need For O-, A-, and O+ Blood Types

The U.P. Regional Blood Center is experiencing a critical need for O-negative, A-negative and O-positive blood types.

If you meet the requirements, you’re asked to please consider giving the “gift of life.”

Donors must be healthy, hydrated, at least 110 lbs., at least 17 years of age, have a picture ID, and be 8 weeks between donations.

A blood drive will be held Friday from 9am to 11am at OHM Advisors in Hancock.  For an appointment, call Courtney Babcock at 482-0535.

Another blood drive will be held Friday from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at GS Engineering in Houghton.  For an appointment call Melissa Stein at 482-1235, extension 160.

Another blood drive will be held Saturday at UP Health System—Portage from 10am to 1pm during the Health & Safety Fair.  For an appointment, call 483-1149.

Donors may also contact the U.P. Regional Blood Center in Hancock to set up an appointment to donate blood.
