Snowmobile trail crews in the eastern and central Upper Peninsula continue to clean up damage caused by Sunday’s storm.
Chippewa County suffered the most damage, with numerous trees blocking trails. Trail 5 in Marquette County also suffered damage in the Champion area.
Paul Gaberdiel from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources says riders in those regions should be cautious, as there could be additional tree or limb falls.
The Copper Country was not significantly affected by the storm. The Keweenaw Convention and Visitors Bureau reports that trails are in fair to good condition.
The eastern U.P. has also been dealing with extended power outages caused by the storm.
