COVID Numbers Continue to Moderate

COVID-19 numbers in the Western Upper Peninsula continue to moderate. 

The most recent report from the Upper Peninsula Health Department shows 43 more confirmed positives in the five-county region since the last report was issued late Monday, along with 37 more probable cases, 63 confirmed recoveries, and two deaths.

21 of the confirmed positives came in Houghton County, which recorded one death. Baraga County had six positives, and one death. Keweenaw County had one confirmed positive, Ontonagon County had five, and Gogebic County had 10.

Since the pandemic began, 1,000 confirmed cases have been diagnosed in the region, with 11 deaths.
