A potential exposure site for COVID-19 infection has been identified in Bessemer.
The Western Upper Peninsula Health Department says exposure could have occurred at the Pit Stop Bar and Grill between July 31st and August 9th.
People who visited the Pit Stop during that period – and those with whom they have since had close contact – may be at higher risk for contracting the virus.
COVID-19 symptoms will typically appear within 2 to 14 days of the exposure. If you have or develop symptoms such as cough, fever, shortness of breath, or a new loss of taste or smell, call your healthcare provider.

Some of the border county cases have been traced to bars in Wisconsin, which are operating with fewer controls than Michigan establishments.
