Students have begun their return to the Northern Michigan University campus in Marquette, and the school’s COVID-19 testing program is also ramping up.
University officials say that 3,800 tests have been administered. 900 results have been received, and five of those were positive.
None of the infected students live on campus.
Classes will begin next Monday at NMU, which moved up its fall start date to avoid the usual dispersal and regathering that occurs during the extended Thanksgiving break.
