COVID-19 Strikes Hubbell Nursing Home

GreenTree of Hubbell, a nursing home, has reported that five of their employees have tested positive for COVID-19.

This from their Facebook page.

All the positive employees are currently released from work for the next two weeks, and must test negative for COVID-19 twice, before being allowed to return.

They also went on to say that employees and residents are tested weekly, and that no residents have tested positive at this time.

They also stated they are working closely with the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department and the state, following guidelines for infection control and social distancing.

They also issued a statement, saying they are closed to all visitors, and that only staff and essential medical professionals are allowed to enter the facility.

Exceptions will be made if a resident’s condition drastically changes, at which point two visitors will be allowed, following strict screening and social distancing requirements.

It was also noted that all persons entering the facility have their temperatures taken, and are checked for symptoms of COVID-19.

In line with government mandates, masked must be warned at all times.

Social activities have also been cancelled.

Daily activities are done with residents on a one on one basis.
