COVID-19 Cases Continue To Rise In Houghton County

COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Houghton County.

According to the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department, Houghton County has 428 confirmed cases, with one death. 

The remaining counties making up the Western Upper Peninsula are Gogebic County with 149 confirmed cases and one death. 

Ontonagon County with 41.

Baraga County reports 25 confirmed cases with two deaths and Keweenaw County has 8 cases.

All Houghton County schools have gone back to distance learning, along with Gogebic Community College and Michigan Tech, which was in Phase Five of it’s opening plan, has since taken a step back to Phase Four through October 12th.
