Coronavirus Finds It’s Way To Michigan

Michigan now has two cases of Coronavirus.

Two people have tested presumptive positive, the first known cases in the state.

Governor Whitmer has declared a state of emergency, in an effort to slow the spread of the virus.

Cooperation with local governments and public health agencies is ongoing.

Governor Whitmer said in a press conference “We are taking every step we can to mitigate the spread of the virus and keep Michiganders safe. I have declared a state of emergency, to harness all our resources across the state government to slow the spread of the virus.”

Whitmer also added it was crucial Michigan families continue to take preventative measures to lower the risk of exposure.

Both cases are down state.

One case is a woman, who recently returned from traveling abroad, while a male, traveled domestically.
