Copper Harbor Lights Up Saturday

One of the Upper Peninsula’s brightest Christmas displays will be lit Saturday.

Copper Harbor’s Winter Wonderfest features a holiday marketplace with items from local artists from 10:00 until 6:00. Kids can make ornaments at 4:00, as Santa arrives on a fire engine at the Mariner North.

At 6:00, the light display at Grant Township Park will be turned on. Organizer Don Kilpela says it’s one of the largest in the region…

As the lights are lit on the ground, the sky lights up, too…

The park display will remain lit through the holidays.

Money raised on Saturday will support the Keweenaw County Sheriff Department’s  “No Child Without a Christmas Fund.”
