After a bit of a respite, COVID-19 numbers in the western Upper Peninsula have begun to edge back upward.
Last night’s report from the Western U.P. Health Department includes 67 confirmed positives across the five-county area since the last figures were released Monday evening, plus an additional 30 probable cases.
35 of the confirmed positives came from Houghton County – nearly double the number from the last report. Houghton County also logged two more deaths.
Baraga County reported six confirmed positives, Ontonagon County had four, and Gogebic County had 22.
