Two roads in Baraga County will be under construction starting Monday.
Bacco Construction and the Baraga County Road Commission will be making upgrades to Schwalm Road from M-38 to Sarya Road, as well as Sarya Road from Schwalm Road to Kyro Road.
Schwalm and Sarya Roads will remain open to through-traffic as much as possible, however there will be periods of time when the roads will be impassable and closed to though-traffic.
Although no formal detour will be in place, motorists are asked to plan on using alternate routes, which include Pelkie Road and Hamar Road.
Local access for residents will be maintained at all times from either M-38 or Kyro Road.
Construction is expected to last through December.
