The CLK Board of Education expressed its appreciation to the Portage Health Foundation at last night’s meeting.
Trustees acknowledged a nearly $90,000 grant that helped to pay for personal protection equipment and supplies to help keep staff and students safe from COVID-19.
The board also thanked Daniel and Sue Teare for their financial donation to the Horizons Alternative High School, toured the new CLK Elementary School gym, and met new seventh grade technology instructor Michael Goldsworthy.
Pay for substitute teachers was increased to as much as $130 per day, depending on qualifications.
They also accepted the retirement of CLK Elementary custodian Kenneth Nordstrom, and the resignation of seventh grade girls basketball coach Janie Anderson.
