Climate Science Cafe Tonight In Hancock

This Thursday, Dec 1 from 6-8 PM at the Orpheum / Studio Pizza, the Keweenaw Climate Community (KCC) group continues their series of discussion-centered events about what activities and topics the community can focus on with climate change impacts and people’s responses to those impacts.

There are lots of potential strategies to mitigate or adapt to the impacts of climate change, and the KCC wants to gather a community of interested people who will help plan the future priorities for their grassroots organization. They will have a few 5 min presentations from local people who are developing responses to climate change, and then will break into groups according  to interests, and start making plans.

All are welcome to attend including kids, and there is no admission charge, but donations to help cover food and space rental costs will be accepted. The series is organized by the KCC, sponsored by the local chapter of the American Chemical Society and the Department of Social Sciences at Michigan Tech.
