The draft of the Recreation Plan for the city of Houghton is ready for public review.
The plan is part of the overall Master Plan and must be submitted to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
The DNR uses the plan when considering applications for recreational grant funding and is a requirement when seeking the Pure Michigan Trail Town designation.
The draft plan is available for review on the city of Houghton website or can be obtained from the city center.
A public hearing on the plan will be held in the Houghton Council Chambers on January 9th at 5:30pm.
