City Of Hancock Issues “Let Run” Notice

From the City of Hancock’s website:

A water “let run” has been called for the City of Hancock. A copy of the “Winter Water Let Run Policy’ is attached for your review. If you have an issue with your water service line freezing up please complete the 2nd page and return the form to City Hall. Once we receive the form we will add you to the let run list.

From Hancock City Manager Barry Givens: “We are not asking all water users in the City to begin running their water…only those which pipes have recently froze or have had a pipe freeze in the past 3 years.  You need to notify  the City (482-2720) and obtain a let run agreement form to sign and return.”

At this time, the City of Houghton has not issued a “Let Run” notice but they are monitoring the situation and will provide an update if needed.
