Citizen Historians Sought For Keweenaw Time Traveler

Local history buffs are invited to help build the Keweenaw Time Traveler.

Michigan Tech researchers have been working on a project to build an online historical atlas of the Copper Country using historic maps and demographic information to connect the people and places of our past.

You are invited to become a Citizen Historian helping to transcribe and tag historic documents while you explore Keweenaw history!

A presentation will be held in the CLK Library on Wednesday, April 5th from 6:30-8pm.

Michigan Tech’s Don Lafreniere, Assistant Professor of Geography and GIS (Geographic Information System) and Sarah Fayen Scarlett, Assistant Professor of History, along with past and future GRACE interns and their instructor, Mike Roland, will be on hand to discuss the next chapter of the Keweenaw Time Traveler.

This is your chance to provide feedback about ways to make the Keweenaw Time Traveler easier and more fun to use.
