The Baraga County Republican Party has chosen a new candidate for the fifth district county commission seat.
Chad Cichosz will step in to replace Allan Dantes, Jr. Dantes was killed in the October 13th truck crash and fire at the Holiday gas station in L’Anse.
Cichosz is the manager of the L’Anse Warden Electric Power plant. He also coaches varsity baseball and middle school basketball for the L’Anse School District.
He will face Democrat Judy Bozicevich in the November election.
