Chassell Township Recreation Millage On November Ballot

Chassell Township residents will vote on a recreation millage on November 6th.

The 0.5 mills will be used to help fund recreation priorities set by township residents through a recreation survey completed in the summer of 2017.  Revenue from the millage would fund projects identified in Chassell Township’s new five-year recreation plan, which spans 2018-2023.

The plan includes a focus on enhancing recreational trail systems (including a fitness trail and historic/natural trail), the development of new water trail access sites and a dog park.

Other potential enhancements include feasibility studies for a marina and campground, plus mountain biking and snowshoe trails and a skate board park.
