Today is Census Day, and it’s not too late to complete your Census form, to make sure you’re counted.
The Census takes place every 10 years, to get an accurate count of the US population.
The Census also determines federal funding for essential services to communities for the next 10 years, and plays a major role in congressional representation.
Glenn Anderson, Chairman of Houghton County’s Complete Count Committee added additional programs the Census determines funding for.
If you don’t get your form filled out today, the Census Bureau will send out another form.
Census takers will begin collecting data door to door, beginning in May.
