CCISD Salutes Employee Who Wrote Computer Programs

The Copper Country Intermediate School District Board of Education took time at its meeting this week to salute Kyle Timmerman.

Timmerman is an onsite tech support specialist for the district. He recently created a computer program that enables administrators to track and approve requests for personal leave and sick time, and another that enables them to deal with work from home requests.

Officials noted that Timmerman worked on his own time to write the programs, and saved the district thousands of dollars.

In other action, the board hired Noelle Pinar as an Instructional/Bus Aide, and Eric Arundel as a Mental Health Professional, and approved the purchase of a new school bus.
