The Copper Country Intermediate School District is selling a house – a very small house.
The tiny house was built by the building trades students at the Career and Technical Education Center. It’s based on an 8-foot by 20-foot trailer.
Home-schooled student William Becker spent two years as part of the crew…
Building trades instructor Michael Randell said they chose a tiny house because they could work on it indoors during the winter, and still provide a full range of experiences to the students…
Student Travis Asiala from Jeffers High School took advantage…
Within 160 square feet, the tiny house has a full kitchen, a bath with a shower, a living area, storage space, heat and air conditioning, and a queen-sized loft for sleeping. It’s ready to be hooked up to water, sewer and electrical, and features natural wood paneling inside and out.
If you’d like to buy it, you need to submit a sealed bid of at least $29,000 by July 31st. To see the specs, and place your bid, click here.
