CCISD Board Appoints New Chair

The Copper Country Intermediate School District has a new board chair. Dr. Nels Chistopherson has taken over, following the resignation of Robert Tuomi from the board. Gale Eilola has been elected vice-chair.

Tuomi stepped down because he’s now working for the CCISD in the construction trades program. His hiring was confirmed at the board’s meeting on Tuesday.

The board also approved the employment of full-time aide Julie Kissel, and part-time aide April Lantto; and accepted the resignation of senior system/network engineer William Nankervis.
