The exterior walls were assembled with 170 hours of volunteer labor, including work by students in the district’s own construction technology program. Mechanical contractors will install lighting, heating, ventilation, water and security over the winter.

Special Education Transition Teacher Karyn Juntunen has been leading the project.

The board also made some staff changes. Instructional and Bus Aide Shannon Wesa will be leaving in December. April Lantto was elevated from part-time Instructional and Bus Aide to full time. Heather L’Esperance has been hired for a part-time position. Jamie Jarvi has been hired as Senior Network/Systems Engineer.
