Due to restrictions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, residents of nursing homes and long term care facilities are some of the hardest hit.
Enter Canal View Houghton County.
Beginning Tomorrow at 2pm, they will be hosting parades for residents through Friday.
Staff will have residents lined up on the sidewalk in front of the building, and people can drive by and see loved ones they haven’t been able to visit since lock down orders went into effect.
This is also an opportunity for the community to celebrate Nursing Home Week.
Activity Director Alisha Davis had this to say.
Don’t be surprised if a firetruck or two show up as well.
