Calumet Theatre Dinner & Movie Features Irish Comedy

“Waking Ned Devine” is an Irish village comedy to be shown on Friday, March 16 as part of the Calumet Theatre’s Dinner & Movie Series.  Someone in the village of Tullymore (pop. 53) has won the Lottery worth 7 million pounds. But because the winner is dead, the money will go back. A plot is hatched to fool the Dublin official and share the prize with the whole town. Roger Ebert says that “Waking Ned Devine” takes its place beside “Local Hero” and “The Full Monty.”

An Irish Buffet, catered by the Miscowaubik Club will be served at 6 pm followed by the movie at 7:15pm. The “EXTRA” fun item this month is “show off your Irish spirit by wearing green” and you’ll have a chance to win a ticket for a future Theatre performance! Dinner and movie are $22; dinner only $18; movie only $7. Reservations for dinner must be made by Thursday, March 15.  A movie that will make you feel like a million bucks. Not to be missed . . .

Call the Box Office at 906-337-2610 or stop at 340 Sixth St., Calumet, MI from 12-5 pm Wed – Fri OR order tickets online at www.calumettheatre.com. Film sponsors are the AmericInn Lodge & Suites and Bucko’s Party Store, both in Calumet.
