The proposed zoning changes that would enable the village of Calumet to host recreational marijuana businesses have been endorsed by the village planning commission.
The sister ordinance that would govern the operation of recreational marijuana businesses is scheduled to be taken up by the ordinance committee Monday evening.
If that is endorsed, the village council could address both ordinances at its meeting on Tuesday.
Still left open is the size of the buffer zone that would be established between marijuana operations and school facilities.
That’s covered in the operation ordinance, and will be part of Monday night’s ordinance committee discussion.
