A Calumet man was injured when he was struck by passing snowmobile.
The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened Sunday just before 4:00am on Trail #17, just north of Boston Road.
Authorities say the man was trying to flag down a passing snowmobile for help on the trail and was struck by an unknown snowmobile heading northbound on the trail.
The man was taken to Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital for non-life threatening injuries by Mercy EMS.
No further details were released at this time. The accident remains under investigation.
