A Calumet man has been arrested for stabbing a woman.
State Police troopers were called to assist the 36-year-old woman in the Village of Calumet around 6:00 Monday evening.
She told them she had been stabbed by someone she didn’t know. She was taken to Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital for treatment of what were described as “non life-threatening” injuries.
After an investigation, troopers came to believe that she actually did know the assailant. They arrested a 41-year-old man who is in a domestic relationship with the victim.
He faces felonious assault charges. His name will be released after he is arraigned.
