Calumet Electronic’s New Houghton Facility Helps Create New Jobs

Calumet Electronics has a new advanced technology center in Houghton.

The company is an industry leader in printed circuit board engineering.

A press release by the company states the center will allow the company to “expand its Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) capabilities, lower lead times, increase CAM throughput and provide access to the diverse talent pool residing in Houghton and Hancock”.

The expansion will also lead to more jobs in the local area.

The new facility is located next to Michigan Tech, so there will be no shortage of future world-class engineers.

Calumet Electronics will work with the university to attract talent and formalize co-op programs that will educate the students about the PCB industry.
