Calumet Art Center’s Ed Gray Retires

The Executive Director of the Calumet Art Center is stepping down.

In a post on the center’s Facebook page last week, Ed Gray announced his retirement as of Saturday, April 14th.

Gray has been the executive director of the art center since 2008.

Gray indicated that he will continue to teach the classes he has committed to this year and will continue to teach clay and copper classes in the future.

He said he will also continue working in the clay studio, making his art for the galleries to sell.

Gray wrote that he has learned a tremendous amount about effective community organization from local partners in the business of the arts, schools, and the community as a whole.

He concluded by saying how much he loves his work and he’s proud of how far the Calumet Art Center has come in the last ten years.
