Continuing repair work on the Houghton-Hancock Bridge will slow traffic again over the next several days.
Mechanical and electrical work will require multiple test lifts today and tomorrow. When required, lifts will take place at the top of the hour and the bottom of the hour.
Meanwhile, structural repairs will close the inside southbound lane tomorrow and Thursday. The bridge will be set in the lower position.
The work will affect marine traffic, as well as vehicle and pedestrian traffic. From tomorrow into Friday morning, a three-hour advance notice will be required for maritime traffic lifts. Requests should be called directly to the bridge operator at 482-7552.
