100 human powered boats will paddle from Breakers to the Bridge this weekend.
Breakers to Bridge Paddle Festival, a weekend of events centered around paddling in the Keweenaw, begins Friday evening with the 5Point Film Festival at the Continental Fire Company in Houghton.
Doors open at 5:00PM with the film showing starting at 6:30PM.
On Saturday, a 10 Mile, timed paddle from Breakers to the Bridge will take place followed by a celebration with live music, pasties and beverages at Kestner Park in Houghton.
The event is being planned as the Keweenaw Land Trust celebrates its 20th year and the Michigan Tech Outdoor Adventure
Program celebrates its 10th year.
