The Bear Belly Bar and Grill in Lac La Belle is calling it quits after serving the Keweenaw for the last 20 years.
The shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was behind the decision to close.
Even though the Bear Belly Bar and Grill is now shut down, the Lac La Belle Lodge and Store will remain open.
The Lodge will begin renting cabins on June 8th.
The store hopes to reopen in mid-June, with an updated grab and go food section.
They will also offer Gabby’s homemade pies and baked goods.
Owner Troy Wescott, thanked everyone for their support, and looks forward to serving you in the future.
